It is reported that Chelsea FC are ready to block the permanent transfer of Kurt Zouma to Everton.
The environment at Chelsea FC is fluctuating at present after it was confirmed that their manager Maurizio Sarri,is to leave the club to join Juventus. This together with a 2 year transfer ban put in place by FIFA, would make any further outgoings unlikely.
Zouma, 24, has added much solidity to Everton’s defence last season, and Marco Silva views the signing of Zouma as a significant step forward in strengthening Everton’s defence in the long term.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the coming weeks. Much will depend on the appointment of a new Chelsea manager, and his views on Chelsea’s defensive options.
If however Zouma’s transfer is lost, it will be to Chelsea’s gain and Everton’s loss.
